SCENEALLY – CREATOR SAFETY GUIDELINES

(Last Updated: November 2025)

The Creator Safety Guidelines (“Guidelines”) are provided to help individuals and creative professionals (“Creators”) who use SceneAlly.com (“SceneAlly,” “the Platform,” “we,” or “us”) interact safely and responsibly with Owners and the locations they choose to visit. Because SceneAlly does not verify listings, screen Owners, or participate in any off-platform communications, bookings, or meetings, Creators must take full responsibility for their personal safety, equipment safety, and overall decision-making.

These Guidelines are not legal or professional advice. They are general recommendations meant to support safer interactions and better judgment. Creators should evaluate each situation independently and apply the precautions they feel are appropriate.

1. Understanding Your Responsibility as a Creator

When you use SceneAlly to contact Owners, you are doing so independently. SceneAlly does not confirm the identity, background, trustworthiness, or legitimacy of any Owner or listing. You alone are responsible for deciding whether to proceed with communication, arrange a meeting, or visit a property.

By using the Platform, you acknowledge that all decisions you make and all interactions you engage in are undertaken at your own risk. SceneAlly cannot protect you from unsafe people, unsafe locations, or misrepresented properties.

2. Verifying the Legitimacy of the Owner and the Scene

Before traveling to any location, you should take reasonable steps to confirm the identity and reliability of the Owner. You may want to ask for their full name, website, social media accounts, sample images of the property, business credentials, or any other information that supports their legitimacy.

If anything feels inconsistent, unprofessional, or suspicious, you should discontinue communication immediately. Creators should never rely on SceneAlly to validate or authenticate an Owner or property.

3. Communicating Safely and Protecting Your Information

When contacting Owners, you should avoid sharing sensitive personal information. Do not disclose your home address, financial information, personal schedule, or any other details that could place you at risk. Keep early communication within safe boundaries and provide only the information necessary to discuss the project.

Creators are encouraged to communicate clearly, professionally, and with caution. If an Owner’s tone or requests become uncomfortable, overly personal, or concerning, you should stop communication and, if necessary, block the User or report them.

4. Preparing for Visits and On-Site Sessions

If you decide to visit a property, consider taking safety precautions. You may choose to bring another adult with you, inform someone you trust about your plans, share your live location, or arrange check-in times. Ensure that someone knows where you are going and when you expect to return.

When arriving at a property, assess the environment before entering. If anything feels unsafe or inconsistent with what was described, trust your instincts and leave immediately. You are never obligated to stay at a location that feels uncomfortable or dangerous.

5. Understanding Property-Related Risks

Properties listed on SceneAlly are not inspected, verified, or approved by SceneAlly. Conditions may vary widely, and Creators should always exercise caution. Before beginning any creative session, evaluate the space for hazards such as uneven surfaces, water features, structural concerns, or unstable elements.

Creators should handle personal equipment with care and confirm whether certain areas are off-limits. If you identify conditions that feel unsafe or unsuitable, you have the full right to decline the session or request an alternative arrangement.

6. Protecting Your Equipment and Belongings

Creators often carry valuable equipment, including cameras, lenses, lights, drones, or accessories. SceneAlly does not provide insurance or protection for lost, stolen, or damaged gear. When attending a session, keep your belongings secure and within sight. Avoid leaving equipment unattended or outside your immediate control.

If you are uncertain about the security of a space, consider bringing minimal gear, using safety straps, or employing protective cases.

7. Handling Payments and Financial Arrangements

SceneAlly does not process payments between Creators and Owners and is not involved in negotiating or enforcing financial agreements. All transactions occur entirely off-platform. Creators should insist on clear, written agreements regarding payment, access hours, cancellation policies, and any special conditions related to the shoot.

You should use secure, trusted payment methods and avoid unusual or high-risk arrangements. Be cautious of Owners who request deposits under unclear circumstances, ask for unconventional payment methods, or attempt to rush the process.

8. Trusting Your Instincts and Ending Unsafe Interactions

If at any point during communication, travel, or an in-person session, you feel unsafe or uncomfortable, you are encouraged to leave, decline the booking, or discontinue the interaction entirely. You have no obligation to proceed with any activity that does not feel appropriate.

Your safety should always outweigh any creative opportunity.

9. Reporting Suspicious or Dangerous Situations

Creators who encounter suspicious, inappropriate, or unsafe behavior may report the situation through the reporting tools on the Platform. While SceneAlly is not obligated to act on every report, we review submissions to the extent permitted by our policies and may take action when necessary for the integrity of the Platform.

10. Acknowledgment of Personal Responsibility

By using SceneAlly, you acknowledge that all interactions with Owners take place at your own risk and outside of SceneAlly’s control. These Guidelines are provided for general informational purposes and do not establish any duty or obligation for SceneAlly to monitor, supervise, or protect Creators. You understand that SceneAlly does not guarantee the safety, suitability, or accuracy of any listing or user on the Platform.

Creators are encouraged to use awareness, caution, and good judgment at all times when interacting with Owners or visiting properties discovered through SceneAlly.

Important Disclaimer

These Guidelines are not comprehensive and do not cover every potential risk or safety measure a Creator may encounter. They are general recommendations only and cannot account for the behavior of Owners, the condition of properties, or the countless variables involved in in-person interactions. Creators are solely responsible for evaluating risks, exercising independent judgment, and taking whatever additional precautions they feel are appropriate. Following these Guidelines does not guarantee safety, eliminate danger, or impose any duty on SceneAlly to oversee, monitor, or participate in any interaction or activity.
